Shorts Scramble to Catch the Move Up
By James J. Cramer

thestreet.com

How bad do the hedgies want it down? Heck, I got calls telling me that the Asian flu was headed toward us. I got "terror alert raised" calls. I got "it's going to sell off at the bell" calls. I even got calls that said that the hornet's nest of Baghdad was going to keep us from acting until our mechanized Fourth Division lands.

Didn't seem to matter.

We are in that moment where I didn't have to be on the Applied Materials' (AMAT:Nasdaq) call to know that it went well. We are in that moment where the eBay (EBAY:Nasdaq) shorts are thinking, "What do I do now?"

We are in the moment when there isn't an ounce of supply in the pipe except some Russian bonds and nobody has anything of size to sell because the investment bankers haven't been able to put together deals in time.

Nope, not in time for this rally. Maybe later, to kill the rally. But investment bankers were so busy laying people off that they forgot to do deals!

In the meantime, the only fundamental news I expect to hear tomorrow is good news, as there is an Internet conference going on.

Man, oh man, the shorts better start making up some real whoppers soon.

Right now, they just don't have enough ammo.

indeed.. this guy typifies the general American cowboyish attitude world opinion has come to hate.

For Bennet to simply ignore US poles, let alone world poles which suggest the Bush administration is not dealing with this in an acceptable manner is indeed scary..
Wasnt it the US who preached a united world, a 'world economy'? Sadly I think they meant a United World where you must agree with what we say, and not have an independent opinion of your own, otherwise you are against us.. We might as well go back to being isolationists as this war i fear will indeed irreparably harm the US' standing in this so-called world economy.. Sad times..
