The Lord's been good to me in MANY ways -- -- one is that He put me in a family that had no interest in drink. We did have a "uncle" that visited once a year and was put in a back bedroom with meals brought to him till he was ready to leave. So the distaste for drink probably rubbed off from that. -- He did however give me an "itch" for golf. Guess He thought I'd learn patience, tolerance, and appreciation of beauty. -- Two out of three isn't bad, is it ?? One of my memories from Air Force life is the time several of us took a "Navigation training" flight from Germany to Scotland. As long as we were there we set up a Squadron golf tournament to be played at St Andrews a few weeks in the future. On the date of the tournament, the weather was so bad that we never even got back there, but I did have the enjoyment of being there over night to plan the event. Anyway, on one of the holes, I walked along the path from the tee to where the ball was expected to land and (****####__!!!) --- I couldn't get thru without "brush" touching me on both side of the path and it was waist high !!!! Needless to say, I'm not too disappointed that we never got to play. :-)
