look up that "French Toast" has nothing to do with France but was invented by an American, Joseph French, of Albany, NY in the eighteenth century.

Any boycott would be by the people themselves. They'd just stop buying products made from a certain country. I remember the boycott of Japanese goods in the early 80's. The effect is longer on a natural boycott. I call it a natural boycott because some people will just quit buying their goods with no instigation to do so. Just their distaste for the offending country. That is a long term boycott and nothing any higher authority says is going to get them to buy that countries goods or services.
