You are right in your assumption. Anyone whoever drove a dozer will tell you how poor the visibility can be. In any case, there is no reason for this to be intentional.
By the way orthodox jewish rabbis are warning their parishoners not to wear yarumulkes while travelling abroad. Warning is supposed to have originated in the US government. In NY there was mention of synagogues as prime terror targets. Working in NY will be nerve racking over the next several weeks I am afraid. Mike

Like all of these situations, its never easy to get an unbiased story. Everybody sees what they want.

Exception - the dozer was a D8. From his vantage, a driver could not see someone lying on the ground from less than 25'. This is without armor.

Doesn't anyone in the mideast have camcorders?
