I disagree with you. Sovereignty is all we have right now. It is a workable concept. I don't think you want people ignore the sovereign rights of the US (I certainly don't)- but in order to get any respect for ours, that does not devolve purely from force, we must also respect the sovereignty of other nations- and like free speech, it's only an issue with folks you don't like. It's easy to respect the sovereignty of entities that are just like you, and that are your "friends". The trick is respecting even the sovereignty of countries you would like to obliterate.
