His central points, which will also be the "talking points" of the (theoretical so far) Democratic peace candidate for President:

What I liked about the Cook speech was his ability to distance himself from Blair's policy choices while celebrating Blair's tenure in office. Looked to me like an incredible smooth way to position himself as the successor. Cynic that I am.

As for the Dem Pres candidates, I don't expect to see any "peace" candidates. I don't think our political culture, as warped as it has been for three, four, even five decades, could withstand that. But, then, as I type, I consider that Bush might even produce that kind of change.
