When Ted Kennedy says Go Fetch, John Kerry runs panting after the ball. When Bill Weld debated Kerry in their Senate run years ago, he pointed out the Senator's lack of work ethic: missed votes, rare sponsorship, and mugging for the camera. But you're missing the major point here. Most regard Kerry as smug and aloof, and there's no way that will fly with most Americans.

By the way, I still think Kerry is a decent guy, and he is a great debater, but in the end his perceived character flaws will sink him, especially the fiasco where he lied about his health to a local reporter, and then had an operation several weeks later.
