ajonesy: We're still UNDERfunding the SEC and The Justice Department -- they are often no match for the high priced law firms hired by the I-Banks and the corrupt corporations...When do ya think we'll ever see Lay and Skilling from Enron face serious charges and prison time...? You and I know that many of the I-Banks have been involved with a lot of questionable activities and at times the top officers may have known what was going on...They made SO MUCH in the boom period that they are ready and willing to pay a multi-million dollar penalty and avoid 'criminal charges.' The investing public would have much more confidence in the markets IF the SEC and The Justice Department would really follow through and hold corporate criminals accountable for their activities.
