If you ever need an explanation:

The "martini guys" (actually, two men and a woman, I think) are a tiny part of a wonderful painting done by a relative of Brad's and Jeff's. I think she's their cousin.

Anyway, the painting is of a bunch of people congregating/conversing at a horse race.

I saw the original daily before the GNET acquisition, when SI was in my neck of the woods, and it's a wonderful painting, with detail that'll keep you busy for hours inspecting it all.

I've tried to commission her to do a painting for iHub (actually, tried to commission her before iHub, just because I wanted a painting to feature in my living room), but no luck. This is something she just does for fun on the side.

I'm not sure what the intended meaning of the painting "excerpt" is, but to me it means "congregating".
