I think that's the point. There was no official recount of the entire State, under uniform state-wide standards... it was never ordered, and move for that was mooted by the Supreme Court 5/4 ruling. However - if you read the unofficial media project recount results, you'll see that's what they did... and that's why it took so long for them to finalize the project: it was a massive, time consuming task. And, since they counted everything, and then categorized the ballots by condition (clean punch, 'three corner hanging chat', etc.), you can clearly see what any official result would have been under a variety of possible uniform election rules. Like I said, it's for the history books... and the irony is pretty intense!
