Wouldn't it be great if we (the US) have similar vote of confidence from US Senate and House of Congress?

A rebel amendment opposing the government's stance on Iraq got 217 MPs with 396 opposing the motion (65% opposed).

A government motion, authorising "all means necessary" for disarming Saddam Hussein, was passed by 412 votes to 149 which is 74%.

About 52 did not bother to vote on the second motion.
