Do you really think John Kerry has a decent shot at winning the Presidency? I mean, I know he appeals to liberal devotes like yourself, and perhaps me. He'll probably win the Northeast easily. But, mainstream America isn't all that liberal. I highly doubt they are ready to elect a hardcore liberal from the most liberal state in the nation, Mass. JFK with all his good looks, money and family name, barely made it to the Presidency (it took some monkeybusiness by the mob in Illinois to put him over the top). I know it's over 40 years later. But, the U.S. hasn't become much more liberal in that time. The Northeast certainly has become more liberal with states like Vermont and New Jersey now reliably Democratic, but much of the country has become more conservative over the past 40 years after the Reagan Revolution, as we've seen with the Republican takeover of Congress. I think the nation isn't ready for real liberal like John Kerry. Look at the hard time Bill Clinton had being a moderate Democrat from the South.

My choice is John Edwards. He's from the South and a moderate Democrat. Much more of the type of Democrat that will appeal to mainstream America.

If Kerry takes some pointers from the ever changing face
of hillary he may have a chance of reaching the folks beyond the banks of the Ohio river.
