It is neo-McCarthyism. If you're not right-wing you're an evil communist traitor. Which is of course a total lie. Ironically as the right villainizes Saddam they actually use some of his playbook. Media control, trumpeting greatness on a flawed leader, wanting to put anyone who cruiticizes into jail. Can't wait to beat them in 2004 as moderates get increasingly turned off with their one-sided extremism. Polls show that is already happening. The economy, health, education, environment, corporate crime, the economy again. All losing issues for Bush which he has neglected for this 9 month obsession with Saddam. This war will skew polls Bush's way up for a few weeks but then once it's over right back down again. Then down further. He'll have to face up to our real problems and wont have a clue as to how to solve them. With an additional 150 billion onto our deficits for this war. Glad I have my Halliburton stock anyway.
