Yeah, it really is a tragedy; I believe there will be innocent American civilians deaths as a result of this, too, but that pales in comparison to how many will die thru out Iraq, for the simple crime of not being able to change their government. What a pity.

IMO, if there are a number of civilian deaths, the people behind this war would be war criminals, although I don't suppose anybody will put Shrub on trial. This is unconstitutional, since Congress hasn't declared war. It is illegal, in that it breaks with the charter of the UN by starting a preemptive war; we are signatories to the charter, and the Constitution says that we are bound to honor all treaties. So, he should be impeached for several reasons, but, unfortunately, he didn't manage to get laid in his office, so he won't be. He also will (probably) be a war criminal, but won't have to suffer consequences of that. Illegal, immoral, stupid; none of that matters, it seems. It also breaks with everything this country has stood for, on an International level; we're back to settling the West by killing all the Natives.

I only hope my way-off-in-the-future grandkids won't still be reaping the whirlwind.

Cry havoc, and let slip the dawgs of war. Shit. If anybody still has a copy of Jackson Browne's "Lives in da Balance", this would be a really nice time to post it; (also Knofler/Dire Straits "Brothers in arms".

Peace.

Mike

and i cannot help but wonder what it will be
like when the imperialistic u.s. will call for a
regime change in canada in order for it to
take control of our water, energy, minerals,
natural resources, all in the name of "its
security and freedom".

You just tell that dictator of yours he better watch his
ass and keep his nose clean.

let's have a thought tonight for the innocent
people of iraq who are about to experience
hell perhaps as early as tomorrow in the
form of daisy bombs and MOAB filled with
shrapnel exploding in their midst.

I don't think we aim to drop those on the innocent people
of Iraq. Only on the ones who are guilty of being
patriotic and love their country so much they are willing
to defend it. They got it coming to them.
