The war, and the management of news to support the war deals a death blow to 60 years of collective action combined with diplomacy to avoid war. Bush wanted UN approval, but the resolution he submitted to the Security Council didn't have any support except from UK and Spain. Not having the votes, he then withdrew the resolution so that there would be no vote, up or down, despite his pledge on TV.

Anyone whose career involves the creation of peaceful solutions to international conflicts should be appalled at this demonstration of might over right. And the likes of Albert Einstein, who devoted many of his years to furthering world government, must be turning in their graves.

Stupidity reigns supreme.
