Last year, former Vice President Al Gore stated, "[W]e know that he [Saddam] has stored away secret supplies of biological weapons and chemical weapons throughout his country." I don't know why polititians felt the need to buy into Rove's lies to appear patriotic. It is a tactic that he has sprung time and again. It did not work for Gore. Gephart has likewise cashed in his career by accepting fantasy as reality. Powell too is facing immenent retirement. I think that some are beginning to realise that they cannot accept these wink,wink,nudge,nudge statements that they know to be propaganda without the very forces that insist upon them, using them later to destroy their credibility.
