Sounds like you guys were building on quicksand out there in Silicon Valley. The illusion of the Clinton Prosperity seems to have left you hanging.

Dear Kevin: Well, if it makes you feel any better I TOO was a big believer in Technology. I built nearly my entire equities portfolio around Communications and the internet, with bases also in industries supplying same. Needless to say, I am DOWN BIG TIME. However, I feel I own quality stocks (I never got into the crazy stocks) and sooner or later these industries have got to return. I imagin a good part of your lack of morale at this time is that you live in California. That state has its own problems way over and above the economy. So, you got a double whammy there. BUT, you gotta admit things were CRAZY when software people negotiated 6 month contracts with signing bonuses and all. It was TOO HOT then, now its TOO COLD now. Hopefully we will eventually get it JUST RIGHT. jdn
