Unlike the right-wing I would never accuse a president of exaggerated charges like treason, dereliction of duty, that kind of BS.

Bush is simply a narrow-minded guy. He focuses on a few things at once and not much else. Unlike Kerry, he is not a policy expert, doesn't read much, isn't expected to understand every nuance of every detail. He just has a simple slogan approach to things. Howver, you're right in that he has no productive plan for domestic healing other than the old voodoo economics and that is poorly-timed. In the end, all the flag-waving and wars will wear on people and not matter much. Pocketbook, health, education and environmental issues will be more important.
