I haven't been overwhelmed by Bush's response to NK's threats. Since Bush expects the Iraqi war to be over in a few weeks, should I expect an attack on NK to be in April or May?

I thought you wanted to give diplomacy a chance? By your clock we have another 11 years or so before we need to think about doing anything. Even then we could choose to side with France and continue to do nothing <g>.

You implied Clinton's NK policy was a sham much like others on this thread. So far, Bush has pursued the same policy. But apparently what rings your bells is war. So when can we expect Bush to declare war on NK?

I expect NK to take much more focus once Iraq is stabilized, but there is a lot of diplomatic runway to cover before an attack is warranted. NK at least wants to talk about their WMD, Iraq just insisted they had none.

How strange, this seems to be the same course of action pursued by Clinton. There must be a war in here somewhere.......Bush is involved.

Brian, <I thought you wanted to give diplomacy a chance?>

It's hard for partisan liberals to see Bush as anything other than a simple-minded warmonger. So when Bush pushes diplomacy with regard to North Korea, all liberals can do is criticize him for inconsistency in his foreign policy.

In other words, liberals don't give a hoot about peace or diplomacy or whatever. All they want is to see Bush fail, which explains why they're not backing Bush when it comes to peacefully dealing with North Korea. This is the current conspiracy theory being pushed by Rush Limbaugh right now, and so far, it doesn't sound as far-fetched as it once did.
