I don't think it is fair to paint the whole left with the same broad brush as you paint Daschle. There is no way they can all be that despicable. Contrary to popular belief, some of them (I dare say even many or most) actually do have scruples.

In terms of someone who operates on a completely political and insincere basis, I think Daschle is almost as bad as Ted. The worst part is people will actually pay attention to Daschle (even if just one-liner news clips here and there).

I don't like the guy and I never have. He is a truly partisan individual.

Having said that, the Clinton administration couldn't get an international backing to take out Saddam then, and they didn't feel it was important enough to keep going. This administration thinks it doesn't need international support.

Maybe it doesn't.
