<Would Republicans be able to accept that Bill Clinton be given the job of dealing with the renovation of the UN and Iraq? It would be an excellent bipartisan gesture by King George II, proving the "one mind" of the USA. It would be a highly acceptable move to many politicians around the world.>

In footy, it's called a hospital pass. Pass it to Clinton. If he succeeds, they achieved it and on to Syria, North Korea, or wherever the Axis of Evil trail leads. If he fails, then they are untainted. Machiavelli would love it. The UN would love it. The USA would be back in the world's good books; no longer a unilateralist pariah.

Bill Clinton would love to have the run of a few palaces and maybe one or two harems could be included. I bet there'd be volunteers. American Express credit cards, live in the palace ... Iraq would boom.

There'd be a risk that he'd succeed so spectacularly that Washington would be sidelined and King George II might end up working for Bill! Are Republicans small-minded and couldn't take it if Bill was a bigger deal than George II?

Who will be the Viceroy? Assuming of course that the psyops spooks are right and Saddam is as unpopular as claimed. Assuming too that a Kamikaze wind doesn't blow sand up the USA Howitzers and blind the laser-guided bombs, defeating the infidels, praise be to Allah, Peace be upon him and that other guy. The fog of war is supposed to be from USA munitions smoke, not silica dust in the eyes and tracks of the American Armada.
