Those are all great points. In a general sense, however, I think preemptive action may be warranted more often in this modern world than it has been in the past.

In this particular case, however, I agree with you that Bush has not made a clear case that preemptive action is necessary, nor has he made his plans clear for the aftermath. Had I been given a chance to vote on whether to go to war, I would have voted "no" given the limited information I am privy to. Now the decision is made, however, I am willing to give Bush the benefit of the doubt and "hope" he knows what he is doing and where is going.
