Someday we should all visit ANWAR. I've been to the Alaskan wilderness and it's a magnificent experience. Very rugged, very ecologically fragile, teeming with major wild-life. Well worth saving. But the very place I spent 6 weeks was the place the Exxon Valdez spilled and devastated. What a high crime. Neglligfence too, not just an accident.

The oil biz and Bushies have been very dishonest about their attempt to invade ANWAR, telling us they're only drilling on a tiny area, but intentionally leraving out the fact they'd build hundreds of roads, dozens of towns, a seaport, etc. etc. etc. They were refering to the drilling rig acreage only, you see, and leaving out everything else. How dishonest was that?

Bush was trying to give Big Oil billions in tax-payer money to pay for the ANWAR drilling. Let's use that moey for clean hydrogen fuel programs instead. And that goes for the next Gulf War $$$ too.

Salute moderate Republicans today for stopping this Bushie boondoggle. Now if they can stop the giveaways to polluters and tax cuts for the rich we'll gradually improve our lot as a country.
