It looks to me like another example of either the right and the left looking for someone else to blame for the current mess.

But Schroeder as Germany's answer to Hitler........that just doesn't ring true.. And as for Germany trying to get dominance in the EU, well Germany's Bundesbank is the EU's central bank and Germany carries so much clout as the dominant nation, I find it hard to believe they need to amass more power than they already have. In fact it was Germany who established the guidelines for getting into the EU.
