Hydrogen CAN happen in our life-times. elect Kerry and see. If he can get funding from congress we can start literally replacing oil and coal with hydrogen but first we need some technological advances so we dont have to use fossil fuels to create hydrogen fuel. Hydrogen fuel will save American lives and help save our public health, air and water. In two years when my lease runs out I'm going to get a clean fuels car. At least a hybrid. Hope they have a good model ready. I only drive 5-10 miles a day so why do I need more? If a million people like me do this it creates a growth market. Mercedes and BMW are onto this too so maybe there will even be high-powered luxury models soon. May sound silly to some but legalizing hemp would help too. It's the best cheapest fiber for paper and would save a lot of forests. Saving forests is avery important. Of course it has many other uses. Its oil is even a good energy source. and no, it doesn't get you high. That's its cousin.
