True, only 1% of Americans have traveled much abroad. Including GW Bush himself.


Let's figure this out. 280 million population(prox). So you say only 2.8 million Americans have been out of the country. Think about that figure. This web site states 20 million yearly. I would conclude more Americans travel abroad than any other nation. This does not take into consideration the many more millions that have been overseas to save some other nations fat ass. I, and my family, have visited other countries many times and the stupidity and arrogance of some of these people is astounding. In England my wife I stood in line to an event with my handicapped son in a wheelchair only to have ignorant, arrogant Frenchmen and Arabs push and jostle in ahead of us. Loud, un-civilized louts. The English theater manager saw what was occuring and brought us to the head of the line. In my times overseas(Korean era) I found the English unfailingly helpful and courteous. I found the Mexicans and South Americans to be equally so on later excursions. We should turn to our friends in S. America for the future alliances.
