True. Probably the most patriotic thing you could do during this horrible war is to buy a fuel efficient car, so we don't have to fight any more wars over oil.

Here's Toyota's hybrid offering toyota.com

Hybrids are hitting the mainstream. They will eventually take over. The public will demand better gas milage from their cars. The American people are stupid, but not that stupid. They know a good deal when they see one and hybrid cars are going to save them a lot on fuel costs. I posted an article a few minutes ago that GM is set to introduce a dozen hybrid models later this year, including SUVs and light trucks. Once that happens, the transition to hybrids will be a forgone conclusion. The public will demand it.

I've got a fuel efficient car...A Harley. Kinda cold in the winter though. When Detroit comes up with a fuel efficient car that can go 0 to 60 in less than 5 seconds and has the quality of the German imports. I'll be the first in line to buy one.
