Like buying a fuel efficient car is a stupid thing to do? Do you want to pay more for gas then you have to pay? That is stupid. You don't even have to give up comfort or convience when you buy a hybrid. They're making them for SUVs and soon light trucks. People don't even need to be environmentally minded to realize that buying a fuel efficient vehicle is a smart thing to do. It will save them a lot of money at the pump and over the life of the car. Who doesn't want to save money? Are you a traitor for wanting to save money, dimishing the oil company's profits and keeping the money for yourself? Another Marxist plot to destroy the American oil industry? No. That's capitalism at it's finest. The consumer gets to decide to buy a more fuel efficient car and saves themselves money on gas over the life of the car to boot.
