If Israel were attacked with convention forces, nuclear arms, or other WOMD, I would be in favor of sending forces to remove the offenders.

However, if the process simply continues to escalate tit-for-tat, I think it is a no-win situation. At that point, I'd say we should stay out. They have to want to have peace; both sides don't seem ready for that yet. It probably won't happen until Arafat is gone.
