He is showing his bias. I live in Atlanta, and have spent the last 30 years in the South. All my children attended school in the South with brief stints in the "enlightened" North. They were never taught any such thing about religion, and never told there was no evolution. Trust me on this one, I was President of the PTA more than once, and I would have marched up to the school in a heart beat if there had been any of this. My daughter was asked while attending school in the North if her father was a member of the KKK. The guidance counselors at a couple of schools wanted to hold my children back because they moved from the South...I told them to test them. All of my children came out far superior to the students their age, and were placed in AP classes. This argument makes my blood boil. Lewis Grizzard, of Atlanta fame, often told the story of when he moved to Chicago for a job on a newspaper...People asked him if he read any books, because he talked so slow.
