I am amazed that many do not seem to comprehend those realistic consequences if America had not demonstrated their will to not allow subversion by force. Would war in Europe have also been a consequence? The execution of showing that resolve was awful. Running away was also a stain. The Vietnam War showed the world the noble character of Americans, even when led by stupid generals and politicians. The poor showing of American leadership in no way blemishes the nobility of millions of Americans and heroism of a few million. The noise of protestors was that of some honest and many stupid and many traitors.
