So you are defining "French in spirit" as having been French in a former life? And what exactly is "French dirt"? Is that like real dirt? So does it also take a few lifespans to wash off American dirt? Or is American dirt less dirty (in your opinion) than French dirt? And how do Russian dirt and Chinese dirt compare?
