They had a huge bill for a long time and were very remiss in paying it. I'm sure even the US news carried that.

I think the U.S. pays 33% of u.n. costs..
And look at all the money Bush tried to throw at Turkey. There is a lesson to be learned there John.

I am sure the nyc cops would love it. I don't doubt it but one big reason for the UN being in America is so the US government can better keep tabs on it. I think Québec would probably be a good choice. The UN would still be easy to keep tabs on and you guys wouldn't have all the rest of the headaches. Each year we go to skate on the Rideau Canal (Ottawa) and I cringe at the sea of diplomatic plates.
