I went looking for 8 Ups, and longer. The longest one was 14 days back in March/April 1971. It took 14 days to go up less than 5%. No wonder investors could still sleep in those days.

The last 8 up was actually a 9 up, but the last 2 days were dojis just barely higher than day 7. That was in June 1997, and the range was from a low of 840.11 to a high of 893.27 in the first 7 days, eventually reaching 894.42 on day 9. It's almost like deja vu all over again. I'd post the chart, but that site wont let me log in again. Don't know why.
