Yah , I should have said something more than I did on EXPE back at $34's and the look of it on ISLD after the Mid-Q...which was still amazingly strong. It has told me in the past to just stay away , and really should have gone long .
It was just overwhelming to the buyside .

Hard to call "long's " on this thread, but we try (ed)<g>

let me know when EBAY hits $90...oh wait it did already almost ! Like AMGN , there has been no stopping them...not until warnings season and valuations start to come into question once again. But EBAY was exhibiting the same kind of buy-side pressure that EXPE was back then too..i stopped trying to short it and just got out of the way again :

And the "upgrade" of NVLS KLAC & AMAT yesterday by SG Cowen...(those i did mention the strength in last week.)

yet , you have to love the uncertainty/risks included within the upgrade :
Message 18730220

It adds: “We think current prices represent attractive entry points for investors with horizons of nine to 12 months. Despite heightened geopolitical risks, we believe that we're in the midst of a gradual cyclical recovery. There is continued evidence that IT spending and semis are gradually improving.”
The comment said that the stocks could fall 20 percent from October 2002 lows but could rise between 35 to 50 percent and so on balance the reward outweighs the risk.

when the times get uncertain , I just play certain stocks (over and over ) , NVLS certainly was one of them.
