Joe,
re:4th

Last I had, when turkey refused them, their equipment started down the Suez canal. The troops themselves were still at Ft Hood but that old info.

I haven't had too much luck searching.

Steve

One thing I am wondering is what happened with (I believe) 4th Infantry divisions that had all their heavy equipment at sea off the coast of Turkey, waiting to unload it.

Probably started heading for the Red Sea as soon as Turkey's true colors became clear to us.

Too bad they couldn't go across Jordan. Jordan is supportive of our efforts this time, but I don't remember to what extent, or if that is even public. They could either offload in Israel and truck/rail across to Jordan (not sure if that is even possible), or Jordan has a southern harbor in the Red Sea they could use. Problem is, Jordan's leadership may support us, but Jordan's people may not be all that excited about it... (like Turkey).

FWIW,

JJ
