Sorry, after reading those accounts I think she is at least as responsible as the driver. Not to lessen her unfortunate death. Seems like a really dumb thing to do though.

<< Also, no mention that these Israeli bulldozers are the primary cause of anti-American sentiment throughout the Middle East. >>

Big deal. If Israel was handing out parking tickets to the terrorists, you'd say the same thing. "Parking tickets are the primary cause of ...".

===> "All the activists were screaming at the bulldozer to stop and gesturing to the crew about Rachel's presence." <===

I heard that they were cheering for the bulldozer, not screaming at it. Could it be that the activists were hoping for an incident to further their cause? Why do you think that the activists sent one of their most naive members up on the mound, in front of the bulldozer. Duh!

Most people don't seek out a violent conflict and play chicken with bulldozers.

From someone who interviewed Joe Smith shortly after her death:

Joe was witness to Rachel's tragic death late that afternoon, and
described what he saw to my colleague , recounting that "she was sitting on
a mound of earth in front of the bulldozer. The earth started to move under
her when the bulldozer digs in. You have a couple of options you can roll
aside-you have to be very quick to get out of the way. You can fall back,
but she leaned forward to try to climb up on top. She got pulled down, and
the bulldozer lost sight of her. Then, without lifting the blade, he
reversed and she was underneath the blade". Joe Smith did not sound
accusatory nor vindictive against the IDF bulldozer driver.
