I have some of those stamps somewhere.

A number of years ago I got in the habit of thinking of prices, "If it's three times what it was in 1967, then it's OK." I think that between devaluation and inflation, we can expect that the going rate for a really cheap hotel room in Paris will be over $200. I mean one-star budget hotels. In the US it would be nice if what started out as Motel 6 could be Motel 60, but they will also have to turn the 6 upside down.

So what do we do about it?
