Yes, armies used to behave badly here too, but that ancient history still pales in comparison to mass murder of thousands of women and children with poison gas. Only Hitler compares on that score, though he shipped them to camps before gassing them. Stalin ranks up there, too, but I don't think he used nerve gas. But that's the class of "leader" that Saddam qualifies for.
