I hear you and agree on most issues

but you might underestimate the geopolitical fallout
esp with Arab states
they would demonstrate loudly anyway, but now they cite no UN or Europe backing

as for Turkey, I believe you totally overlook the Kurdish risk
it will come back
the Turkish issues had little to do with overflights
and everything to do with establishing an independent Kurdish state
the Kurds want their state, and control of Kirkuk, and the oil revenue which could finance establishment of a Kurdish state
Turkey is against it
Iran is against it
that will be a nightmare long after overflights pass

Blair is now isolated, almost come under no confidence votes
our strategy and tactics change by the month
back in January, would you have said "we dont want, need, or require either UN or Europe" ???
I dont think so

Bush and Rumsfeld gather political support by promising a path
then they divert from the path, and expect support to stick with them

experts litter the landscape with lofty and shallow plans
I have little respect for whom you describe as experts
several reports out there now by former Army and former Special Forces warning of extreme screwups so far

you point to the prize goal
but you overlook many poorly laid paths to that goal
that is my opinion
and time will tell

this country is in trouble financially, and will now bear a hefty cost
we are now more isolated internationally than at any time I can recall in my adult lifetime
our currency is under attack, and now followers celebrate the feeble run from 98 to 102 now
this time last year it was 117
our federal debts are becoming frightening

I applaud your optimism, honestly
but I think you overlook numerous risks that lie ahead
very dangerous ones
it is never easy to remove a guy like Sodomy
his removal will resemble ridding a wounded bear holding grenades soon

I expect within days to hear of accidents
like a Baghdad school full of children bombed out
or Sodomy himself bombing one of his schools, blaming on us
we just had one helo downed, probably from these sandstorms whose danger you minimize
in two months, we will look back wishing to trade heat for sandstorms

we will see
I would love to see Sodomy's head on a stake
but we have not planned this attack well
militarily we are now limited on one front
geopolitically we are totally isolated
you count the benefits before assessing the upcoming risks
reminds me of Nazdaq investors

the most glaring military disadvantage I see now is that B-52's just raided Baghdad for a "shock & awe" hit
they started their trip from England
BECAUSE WE HAVE NO SUPPORT ANYWHERE IN THE REGION
with refueling along the way, 1500 miles in all (guessing)

if we used Florida Airbases instead, with Europe banning flights, would you feel differently?
