It may have been safer but the end result is we accomplished both. Is that bad? I don't think it is....I think its quite good. See, I think if you were being brutally honest, you would admit that you're a little disturbed that the war effort is going so well. Thats not to say you hoped people would die but I do believe most people who opposed the war hoped it would go off in such a way as to make Bush look bad. I would guess that upwards of 80% of the anti-war group is really Anti-Bush. The fact that SO FAR we've been able to do this with precision concerns the Anti-War/Bush people and so now they want to question things like "I think it would have been safer for the soldiers if they had waited till the bombing had been completed" when clearly none of us have any idea of how to plan and carry out a war.

I just want people to be honest about what they really believe. If you said "GLOOP - I hate Bush!!" I could respect that. I myself didn't like Clinton very well and I voted for Bush. In fact I have voted Republican for president in every election (Since I was old enough) Since Reagan. I have voted for 1 Democrat in Russ Feingold because I felt he was the better candidate. That said, when Clinton attacked Iraq in 1998 not once did I question the need for such an action. In fact I felt it was about time that we deal with Saddam and now finally, 5 years later, we seem to be doing just that. We should have killed him in 1991 but played nice guy and went along with the UN's wishes. Now, 12 years later, we are doing what we should have done in 1991. I hope we roasted Saddam and his two sons like beef. If we did then the remaining Iraq Army would be well served to surrender so we can finish the task at hand with minimal loss of life.

Their plans were thwarted because of the early bombing of Saddam's palace when the White House tried to take out Saddam

Yet another boobalicious statement. Do you pretend to be privy to the war counsels that preceded this operation?
