my daughter just called me.
she has met many many diverse
people through her involvement
with the peace movement in vancouver,
one of whom is a kurdish doctor.

he is holding a kurdish new year's
eve celebration tonight and asked
sarah to join them. another friend,
a young woman from turkey, will be going
as well plus who knows who from where,
but it will be a cross section of good
folk all working for peace.

that made me feel really good :)
