Actually all this has played out (knock on wood) as one would expect. Everyone has known for a long time Bush was going to invade no matter what the UN said. Everyone knew we'd win a fairly easy victory. The Bushies actually played up the threat of Saddam but his army is 1/3 the size it was in 1991 and he has almost no air force. WMD are the wildcard but so far no evidence of them.

I'm surprised Saddam hasn't blown up the oil-fields more but maybe we got there in time, as should have been the priority. Partisanship stops during the war. A few protests. Markets relief rally. Terrorism another wild card but that fear may be blown out of proportion too. Kurdish-Turks tenion in the north. No big surprises to me at all.
