There are many sides though. Sudanese refugees from Iraq were interviewed at a transit camp before heading back to Sudan. They said they left everything behinds including cars (so they must have been well off, which may of course bias their view). A child said she liked her school, her friends, Iraq. Her mother then coaxed her to say she liked Saddam and hated the US. There were no Iraqi handlers around so who knows.

I've seen other shows interviewing of British Iraqis where the glee at Saddam's imminent demise was quite evident but they were unhappy that it was not UN led. As it was bluntly put they were afraid the US and British (the original originators of the modern Iraqi border) would just leave them in another mess yet again...

and some news clips on tv that show the Iraqi people greeting their liberators. Yes I've seen this on tv also.

This is going to be very complex for it to succeed after the fighting is done.
