General Tommy Franks , in the news conference this morning, did a great job of letting the reporters know what HAD happened, without letting them know what is GOING to happen. He is not a media hound, but a no nonsense man with a mission. He does not gloat about that mission, but has great determination to complete that mission. I am glad he is there. No theatrics, just no nonsense straight talk!!

The anti-war people are naive. They continue to claim Saddam is not harming anyone, that he is no threat, that he is "contained," this, despite the clear evidence to the contrary. I mean DANG! Saddam agreed to disarm and then refused to maintain his part of the agreement. That ought to have been proof enough to the anti-war ladies that Saddam needed to be whacked.

What is worse, these anti-war fokes continually claim that sanctions are working, when the fact is they aren't working at all, except that they allow Saddam to sit fat and pretty in one of his many opulent palaces while Iraqi children starve and die of disease.

Had Bush listened to the anti-war people, Saddam would almost certainly have tried to do to us what he has long done to his own people. It is a fine thing that after the eight long and dark years of the do nothing Clinton Administration, we finally have a real president.
