One thing I find interesting is that when someone takes something and offers 80% of it back, that's an offer that shouldn't be refused, especially when it's 80% of what several UN resolutions (we seem to enforce the ones we like best) said should be given back.

The fact is I was being liberal, outside of Jerusalem, they were getting almost everything they wanted. The Israeli's are forced to maintain certain issues, to uphold their security. Why? Because since 1949 The Arab world has called for their extinction. So thy took what they had to to defend their lives.

I agree 1000% about setlements

Again you have not provided evidence, to why palestinians have any credibility when their leader, as you said doesnt have the character to make a compromise. Rubin did and he is dead, but at least he had the balls to try to do the right thing. Arafat is obviously a coward, and not a legitamate leader.

Blowing up a Hotel, and killing 9 year olds is not the same, sorry.

Last I checked OBL killed 2000 americans and cost us a few hundred Billion, how that is not a legitamate reason to go after someone I dont know what is. As for Sadam, he has attempted to assasinate an American Pres, disregarded a ceasefire, and is an all arround louse. Is the US overstating the treat, maybee. However the Idea of preventive medicine makes sense to me. Before WWII Americans were convinced the Japenese were going to invade CA. Was the threat overstated, of course. The pourpose was to prepare, and inform for the seriousness of the possibility even, if it was remote. Thats how Govt works.

I try to be objective, and fair. I was for the peace process for many years. Blowing up kids on buses has destroyed any credibility I had for palestinians. If you look at the parties and their motivation, the palestinians have only themselves to blame.

man, this place is a hornets nest this weekend. -ng- i would respectfully suggest a couple of thoughts (not directed at you).

first, that the palestinians themselves, apart from the bus blowerupers, deserve a whole lot of sympathy. they are being used as pawns, and i don't see how there can be any doubt that the saudis are funding the bastard blowerupers the same way they funded the 911 hijackers and their "fearless" leader. they are treated like sh*t by the same arab community that claims to care for them.

the saudis are funding and fueling palestiniian hatred to poke america in the eye, unfortunately the stick they're using goes right through the head of palestine and through the heart of israel.

the other thought is that israel made peace with germany. think about it: israel and germany made peace.

if our government would stop inviting the fat bastards from riyadh into the lincoln bedroom and deal with them as the what they really are - a bunch of nomadic Clampetts pissing all over their neighbors' lawns - the mid east situation would be cleared up in no time.

i have been told that iraq is just a step to get a lever on the saudis, that the current white house administration isn't as stupid or deceitful as they appear, but in fact are very clever.

well, we're knocking on bagdad's door, let's see if the likes of cheney and the carlysle crew really do care about america or if this is just another way to line their own pockets on the backs of taxpaying americans and tears of now son-less mothers.

i'll be watching. i hope i'm not alone.
