<<i am liking lieberman more and more these days though>>

I think he is a good person but I can't get past how much he reminds me of Carter.

Lieberman has his good points but he is a walking Sominex tablet as a speaker. I think someone whose oratory does not stir is going to have a tough time. I'm not saying that's a good thing, for I distrust politicians whose oratorical skills outstrip their integrity, but I just think it will be tough for him.

If he does get the nomination, I wonder how much will be made of his religion. I think it shouldn't matter at all, but someone is bound to say that he will have a tough time dealing with the Middle East crisis because the Arabs won't trust him. Of course, the opposite argument, along the lines of "only Nixon could go to China", might also be valid: That only Lieberman could force the Israelis to compromise enough on the land issues to force the deal with the Palestinians to go through.
