AS General Franks said, the Turks have been going in and out of that part of Iraq for years. If they decide to come across and fight with a big force, then we might have to do something otherwise I doubt we do anything.

Saddam said he gave 7 million weapons to civilians in Iraq. This is probably a wild exaggeration but even it's it's a much smaller number things could still get dangerous disarming that country. The police action could actually be ten times as risky as the military invasion. Especially when it comes to cleaning out the towns sympathetic to Saddam, and there ARE some of those. Maybe let the French do this. gg
