Not true. History is replete with America supporting ruthless dictators who've behaved much like Saddam. If you check the record, you'll find most of us opposing this war also opposed those dictators. So, Robert, you're plain wrong!

This invasion of Iraq violates international law. It is being waged without the authority and backing of the United Nations. What makes matters worse, is the United Nations was in the process of working on a clear alternative to the carnage we're now witnessing on our television sets.

As much as you're concerned about Saddam's ruthlessness, many of us are not only concerned with that, but we're also concerned with the fact that Iraq's 23 million population is comprised 42 percent of children under the age of 15. Against this backdrop, the inspection and containment option, as set out by the French, was and is more viable.

You will find that as this war lengthens the support for it, which was never really all that solid, will decline as more and more people conclude and realize the grave mistake that has been made by our leaders.
