The issue is that Saddam may not be a direct threat now, but at one time bin Laden was not a direct threat. The conditions that allow these murderers to flourish must be removed. We need to remove the hateful threats, AND then follow up with a rebuilding program that let's the decent people in the area take control.

I personally feel that we will find illegal weapons, certainly including chemical weapons (which they've used on both the Kurds and in the Iraq/Iran war) and possibly biological weapons. So, the difference may be in the degree of danger he poses, but better to remove him while he poses less of a threat than when he is capable of really hurting our forces.

I just wish that Bush could have built a real coalition rather than just a 'Coalition of the Willing'.
